The assessment also produces a list of useful recommendations and improvements that could be made to improve the overall energy efficiency and reduce fuel bills. We will work with you if required, to ensure you make the most of the recommendations in order to save money and reduce your carbon emissions. A rating can also be given to show what level the building could achieve if all of the recommendations were implemented.
Once we have completed the inspection and produced the EPC it often doesn't end there. Once a property is sold or leased it is often the case that they are then refurbished. This refurbishment can make the EPC out of date/inaccurate and this may have tax disadvantages in the near future.
We are happy to revisit and re-inspect commercial properties and if necessary re-calculate the EPC to ensure the very best rating after any refurbishment.
An EPC is valid for ten years.
